Kyle M. Meintzer, CFP®

Founder & Wealth Coach

Kyle M. Meintzer runs a large financial planning practice based in Reno, Nevada, but also maintains offices in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Practitioner™, he helps clients to create a plan to protect a lifetime of wealth for themselves and their families, while still affording them the opportunity to charitably support the organizations and causes they value, such as the Wild Sheep Foundation, its' California Chapter, Nevada Bighorns Unlimited, and the National Rifle Association. In 2012 Kyle was appointed to the Sportsmen for Romney National Advisory Board, an honor the epitomizes his demonstrated commitment to conservation and strategic planning.

Kyle joined Lincoln Financial Advisors Corporation in 1975 and has spent his entire financial career affiliated with the organization. When he became involved in the financial services industry' his goal was to build a career assisting clients in both growing and protecting their wealth. Having served as both an advisor and in various leadership positions over the years, Kyle has earned extensive recognition, and national honors that exemplify his personal commitment to the importance of protecting, conserving and sustaining personal heritage. His financial, business, retirement, and charitable planning services afford his clients the opportunity to actively contribute and participate in building and sustaining a heritage worth preserving in support of the longevity and survival of organizations and causes they value.

A native of South Dakota, Kyle has a thirty-seven year heritage as an active member of hunter-supported conservation organizations including the Wild Sheep Foundation, its' California Chapter, Nevada Bighorns Unlimited, Ducks Unlimited, and the National Rifle Association. His personal pursuit of the protection and conservation cause began in 1973, when he co-founded the first Ducks Unlimited chapter to exist on a military base. In 2001, he founded the California Chapter of the Foundation for North American Wild Sheep. He served for four years as the chapter President, and since 2005 as Vice President for Operations. He was later appointed to the FNAWS (now WSF) Board of Trustees, and in 2007 was elected to the Board of Directors of the Wild Sheep Foundation.

A graduate of Utah State University with a bachelor's degree in Political Science, Kyle began his professional career in the military. He served five years in the United States Air Force, where he flew EC-135 aircraft for the 4th Airborne Command Control Squadron, Strategic Air Command. At age 24, Kyle became the youngest Flight Examiner in SAC history, as well as the first 1st Lieutenant to be trusted with that assignment. He ultimately rose to the rank of Captain and held a top-secret clearance prior to honorably leaving the military to pursue what would become his life's profession, financial planning.

Travis Dougherty

Regional Director – Pacific Northern Region

Travis rejoined Lincoln Financial in May of 2015. Originally licensed in 2000, he has worked with a number of very well-known investment firms, including American Express, Lincoln, Banc of America, and Midland National. These experiences have brought valuable training and experience to round out his knowledge of the investment and wealth management universe.

Travis now leads our Pacific Northwest regional planning office covering Oregon, Washington, and Alaska with a focus on courting and attracting excellent financial planners who are a fit with Lincoln Financial Advisors’ Serve First philosophy and creed. Additionally, he is able to offer his experience and insight to independent insurance providers who desire a direct relationship with the carriers they represent.

Originally from Denver, CO, Travis moved to Portland in 1995 to pursue and attain a BA from Lewis & Clark College. He and his wife Sharon have two beautiful daughters, Charlotte and Sloane. Away from the office, he enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring the Pacific Northwest. Additionally, he is affiliated with two local soccer organizations and plays regularly.


Marilee Perkett

Business Operations Manager

Since joining Lincoln in 1983, Marilee has fulfilled many roles, from local to national levels. As Business Operations Manager, she is responsible for the overall operations of Lincoln in the Pacific NW, overseeing financial planners in Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. Her specialties include:

  • Providing Compliance training and support, to include audits and supervisory activities,
  • Directing activities of staff to ensure outstanding service and performance levels are met for the region, including providing Human Resources assistance for the hiring, onboarding, and training of planners’ assistants,
  • Assisting financial planners with the implementation of their business succession plans,
  • Managing operational tasks required to have a well-run OSJ.

Before becoming a Registered Principal and overseeing operations in 1999, Marilee was a wholesaler for Lincoln’s Small Group Health, Dental, Life, Disability, and Long-Term-Care insurance products. She qualified for numerous awards, both for production as well as the Bravo Award in 2014*.

Marilee and her husband Mike love to travel. They are also enthusiastic Oregon State Beavers football fans, and can be seen at all home and some away games. Mike also plays the drums in a rock band. When not traveling, camping, and going to gigs, they enjoy spending time at home with Ringo, their Australian Shepherd, gardening, cooking and reading. Their daughter Rachel and her husband Ryan live in New York City.
