My Philosophy

Welcome to my website

It has been designed with you in mind, in hopes of providing you with the knowledge and information to determine if our firm and services could be of benefit to you and your family today or at some point in the future. For our current clients, our site is built for access. Access to important forms, updates and opportunities that can further enrich the work we are pursuing together.

I have always enjoyed the outdoors. A native of South Dakota, I have a thirty-seven year heritage as an active member of sportsmen supported conservation organizations. I believe that my journey to this point illustrates the essence of not only who I am as a person, but also what I represent and endeavor to support and instill in the clients I serve. The power to conserve is strong for me, and is evident in all aspects of my life and my work. In fact, locating my offices here in Reno, in the mountains I love, represents a long-time dream to bring my professional and personal pursuits into seamless alignment.

My personal pursuit of the conservation cause began in 1973, when I co-founded the first Ducks Unlimited chapter to exist on a military base. In 2001, I founded the California Chapter of the Foundation for North American Wild Sheep. I served for four years as the chapter President and since 2005, as Vice President for Operations. I was later appointed to the FNAWS (now WSF) Board of Trustees, and in 2007 was elected to the Board of Directors of the Wild Sheep Foundation. I have also been a Big Brother and for several years served as a Director of Big Brothers, Big Sisters of the East Bay..

Today, in addition to my conservation work on behalf of Wild Sheep, I run a large financial planning practice based in Reno, Nevada. I also maintain offices in the San Francisco Bay Area where I spent a large portion of my financial services career. As a Certified Financial Planning Practitioner™, I actively guide my clients through their financial, retirement, estate, business and investment challenges. I coach them as to how they can create and protect a lifetime of wealth for themselves and their families and ultimately leave that wealth to whom they want, when they want, with the least amount of taxation and complexity. I simply coach them around their best alternatives. I believe in “optimal conservation”, with a propensity towards control and access.

When I began my career, my goal was simply to assist clients in both growing and conserving their wealth. While this principle has evolved over the years, it remains steadfast in application and purpose. In my opinion, the best opportunity we have everyday to impact the world in a positive way is to teach another person how to conserve and protect what is most important to them, whatever that is. Your Heritage is worth preserving. I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss how we might work together to help you achieve that result for you and your family.

Enjoy your visit, and please contact us if we can be of assistance as you work to achieve financial independence and success.

Best regards,

Kyle M. Meintzer
